EinLinio is a web-based generator for single-line diagrams. We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our service.
a) User account (login)
Data: email address, password (stored as a hash only), company name, contact person, telephone, address (each optional).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
Retention: until the account is deleted.
b) Project data
Data: diagram configurations, editor data, project name, timestamps.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
Retention: until the project or the account is deleted.
c) Contact form
Data: name, email address, company (optional), message.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Retention: until the enquiry has been dealt with, at most 12 months.
When you submit the form we additionally store your IP address for a short time in order to limit
the number of submissions per IP (protection against automated abuse).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing abuse).
Retention: 60 minutes, then deleted automatically.
d) Security logging (login log)
Data: email address, IP address, user agent (browser identifier), timestamp, success or failure of the login attempt.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security of the service and protection against unauthorised access).
Retention: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
e) Session cookie
EinLinio sets a strictly necessary session cookie in order to identify you after login. This cookie contains no personal data, only a random session ID. It is deleted when the browser is closed or after 8 hours.
Legal basis: § 25(2) TDDDG (strictly necessary); Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
No tracking cookies, analytics cookies or advertising cookies are used.
e2) Local storage in the browser (localStorage)
The diagram generator stores strictly necessary data locally in your browser only:
the most recently edited project state (recovery after a lost connection), your display
settings, and a marker recording whether you have already seen the introductory tour. This data
never leaves your browser and is not read by us; you can delete it at any time via your browser
settings.

f) Server log files
When our website is accessed, our host automatically collects: IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, HTTP status code, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, browser identifier.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (proper operation).
Retention: according to the host's settings (usually 7–30 days).

We do not pass personal data on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so. No transfer to third countries takes place. We do not use any external services (analytics, CDN, fonts, social media).

Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — you may request the correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — you may request the deletion of your data, provided no retention obligations conflict.

Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — you may receive your data in a commonly used format.
